Metal laser cutting companies are often facing the question of selecting a gas source for the laser machine.
At serial production of products and continuous working mode stopping the laser machine for cylinder replacement is practically inadmissible, so in this case it is effective to install cryogenic equipment for storage and gasification of liquefied gas: tank with evaporator, gasifier сof medium volume or small volume (cryocylinder).
Such installations have a number of advantages:
- provide storage of a much larger volume of gas compared to conventional gas cylinders;
- guarantee gas purity and uninterrupted gas supply;
- reduce the cost of purchasing and delivering gases;
- system autonomy;
- eliminate costs associated with the maintenance and transportation of cylinders;
- flexibility to increase consumption volumes;
- increase the level of safety in production.
Laser machines with power more than 4 kW require mandatory purging of the laser beam channel, which should be carried out not only during operation of the equipment, but also during its downtime to exclude the probability of penetration of atmospheric gases into the machine.
