In October 2015, at the request of PJSC ArcelorMittal Kryvoy Rog, our company completed the project on a turn-key basis, namely: design, supply, installation and commissioning of cryogenic equipment for storage, gasification and distribution of liquid argon with subsequent feed to electric-steelmaking furnaces in order to perform daisy chain blowdown of molten metal by argon.
The scope of supply included the following cryogenic and gas equipment:
- Cryogenic liquid argon storage tank V-6100 l, operating pressure -18.5 bar.
- Ambient vaporizer Q-200 m3/h, operating pressure - 40 bar.
- Dome-loaded pressure regulator with back pressure control.
- A set of equipment for automating the process of monitoring the level of cryogenic product in the tank and dosed supply of gaseous argon gas into steelmaking furnaces.
