In early 2019, LLC CRYO INTER TRADING won a tender for a turnkey project of the continuous casting machine and converter shop argon supply system modernization at the enterprise PJSC ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih.
In framework of implementation of this project, the following steps are provided:
1) Development of design estimates with obtaining the necessary permits, to the extent necessary for construction
2) Selection and supply of the required equipment
3) Construction works (development of foundations for equipment)
4) Installation of the supplied equipment
5) Installation of argon pipelines made of stainless and carbon steel from AMKR oxygen to the converter shop with a total length of 1 500 m
6) Testing of installed equipment and pipelines
7) Commissioning
8) Putting the facility into operation
Currently, our company has completed, within the period agreed with the customer, the design work in full. The following equipment was supplied:
1) Atmospheric evaporators of liquid argon produced by "CRYONORM B.V.", Netherlands, in the amount of 3 units with a total capacity of 1100 m3/h
2) Argon gas receiver with hydraulic volume of 125 m3, operating pressure 16 bar
3) High-quality cryogenic shut-off and safety valves manufactured by HEROSE, Germany
The supplied equipment was mounted on the foundations and fitted with pipelines and valves.
To date, argon pipeline installation works are being carried out and 70% of the total volume is mounted.
