In January 2021, our company implemented a project to provide a cryogenic system for low-temperature treatment of cold rolling rolls at PJSC “NKMZ” in Kramatorsk.
This cryogenic system is a new development of PJSC “NKMZ” specialists with the support of engineering service of “CRYO INTER TRADING” LLC and is designed for treatment of cold rolling rolls with low temperatures after hardening to reduce residual austenite in the metal structure.
As part of the project implementation, the following equipment was supplied:
- Stationary cryogenic tank of vertical design for storage of liquid nitrogen with the volume of 16 m3, designed for working pressure up to 17 bar.

Atmospheric liquid nitrogen evaporator with a maximum capacity of 310 m3/hour (for gaseous nitrogen).
- Cryogenic control panel for liquid nitrogen supply to the roll processing chamber with remote and manual control.

Cryogenic pipeline with vacuum insulation.
- A set of cryogenic shut-off and safety valves.
The above equipment is part of the cryogenic treatment section of cold rolling rolls, which provides liquid nitrogen supply to the cryogenic chamber with a flow rate of 4.3 m3/h at a pressure of 5 atm.
Installation, start-up and commissioning of the system with appropriate tests were also performed, as well as commissioning in accordance with the procedure regulated by SNiP 3.05.05-84 “Technological equipment and technological pipelines” and VSN 50-83 “Instruction for design of pipelines of liquid air separation products”.
