In 2024 our company implemented the project: design, equipment supply, construction, installation, commissioning and start-up works of turboexpander to modernize the air separation plant at the Customer's enterprise.
To reduce operating costs associated with frequent equipment repairs (required every two years or after 8,000 hours of operation), the unavailability of spare parts on the market, and insufficient performance that failed to compensate for the unit's cold losses—resulting in the operation of two turboexpanders, which in turn disrupted argon production technology and increased compressed air consumption by 15% the Customer decided to replace the DTC 24/09 turboexpander with a high-efficiency turboexpander unit manufactured by Cryostar S.A.S., France.
This modernization restored the air separation unit’s capacity to its specified parameters - 35000 m³/hour of oxygen with 99.5% purity - and is expected to significantly reduce operating costs in the future.
The project provided for:
-
Development of design documentation.
- Supply of main equipment: turboexpander/compressor, model TC 300 AS ECO with modular lubricating oil supply system manufactured by “CRYOSTAR S.A.S.”, complete system of control and automatic control of the equipment.
- Dismantling of the existing equipment.
- Construction and installation works.
- Pre-commissioning and commissioning.
The construction object is located on the territory of the Ukrainain metallurgical enterprise in the oxygen production shop.
