Drift eliminators for cooling towers

A drift eliminator is an internal contact structure that is mounted in various ventilation units, including counterflow fan coolers to remove condensed droplets from the air stream. The drift eliminator is also called the droplet separator.

Drift eliminator is aimed at minimization the water loss from the cooling tower in the form of drift, and hence from the entire water circulation system.

The efficiency of a drift eliminator depends on its design, installation method, dimensions, air velocity in the cooling tower, and the aerodynamic drag of the water trap.

The drift eliminator modules are designed to remove water droplets from the outgoing air stream with minimal pressure loss resulting in less than 0.001% water loss due to droplet entrainment. The modules are made of durable PVC that complies with the SDT-136 standard and is UV protected.
